Yes, I think that creativity is really about the generation of ideas, and from there the ideas may become something tangible or “knowable” in the real world, or they might just live in the mind forever. On my homeschooling blog I posted about some TED talks by Ken Robinson, a sort of “expert” on creativity. He talked quite a bit about the important link between creativity and innovation. I find that something always gets lost between the generation of ideas in my mind and the process of trying to bring them out into the world. I can never say, or capture, exactly what my mind is showing me. But, it’s worth the attempt, I think! You are certainly a very creative person — I think your comment did a better job of explaining my thoughts than my post did 🙂
