new blog header

I had SO much fun making this new blog header, and the process really got my creative juices flowing. Thanks to my husband who has, at various times, worked as a graphic designer and a web developer, I learned how to color line drawings using Photoshop! Super cool! I’m still trying to figure out where to go from here, in terms of my blog’s purpose, but I figured a good place to start is aesthetics. I’ve been thinking about this header for quite some time, and I am so pleased that it came out even better than I had imagined. I’m a bit of an anglophile (I’ve always loved England and spent a semester there in college) so I chose to go with a European airmail feel. I even found a tutorial on creating postmarks in Photoshop and whipped up one of my own. All in all, a productive and creative day.
